My dear fellows,

I literally consider my self unworthy to address in the presence of numerous venerable scholars, pious, virtuous and righteous people, Verily their company is largesse for us.

Although, in the estimation of ALLAH, (exalted and sublimes be He) such gatherings hold a magnificent value but a sermon in fact ought to be delivered where it really is required because it is a bounty of the Holy Prophet (Sal Allah alaihi wasalam), which relates to human’s inwards and it is achieved by heart’s contact.

It is said by our beloved prophet Muhammad (Sal Allah alaihi wasalam), that on the day of resurrection there will be saints on the luminous pulpits which are on the right of ALLAH Almighty, (although Allah’s both laterals are right) whose faces will be bright. The others will be bewilderedly inquiring each other whether they are martyred, sage, prudent, crusaders or generous? Which of their deed has made them distinguished near Allah and conduced them to being bestowed with his proximity?

 The response from the Guardian Lord to them will be,  “They are not prudent, sage, crusaders or generous but they are those whom I Love. And I Have endued them a high rank today, because in the world their fondness, their affection, their gatherings and their detachment was for My sake merely”.

By convening this congregation, we neither desire personal aspiration nor any other longings (La Youreedoona illa Wajhu) but the only purpose we seek is the pleasure of Allah (Subhan wa Taala).

Allah (Subhan wa Taala) is cognizant of all the concealments of one’s heart. So, the people who gather, love and sunder with others just to gratify Allah, along with the hearts pure and sincere intentions, deserve a glad tiding to be encompassed by the graciousness from their Lord.

Imam Ghazali (R.A) states in “Ehya al uloom”, that no matter if some one belongs to dissimilar groups, cast, tribes and regions. Even the diversity in their faces, names and places make no differences as far as, the motive of their sitting together is common and in the cause of ALLAH (Subhan wa Taala).

In the age full of evils, man has become restrained and engrossed in voluptuary. He is obsessed with selfishness that he pays regards to nothing but own personal desires. The emotion for sacrifice, forfeit, generosity, sincerity, devotion and honesty has diminished in the existing society. Today man has degraded humanity and has become inferior to animals, as even animals show empathy to their homogenous. 

In this condition of severe affliction, where man is committing slain, defamation, brigand and humiliation, there are some people whose love; meeting, handshakes and detachment are in the compliance of Allah (Subhan wa Taala) and as per this sacred Hadith. My dear friends, this deed is of high rank in the present age. Their love with Allah (Subhan wa Taala) makes them eminent and surely they are saints of Allah (Subhan wa Taala) upon whom He causes His pleasure and mercy to descend.

This is due to the Will of Allah (Subhan wa Taala) that in this age full of evil, their core focus is Allah (Subhan wa Taala) and they are zealous to ignore themselves, their names, their casts, their regions and their personalities with the objective of attaining high grade of humanity.)

This was the message that RASUL ALLAH (Sal Allah alaihi wasalam) was commissioned with.

Stated: “Youzakkeehim” means, beloved Prophet (Sal Allah alaihi wasalam) came to purify them. As the mode of life, conducts and customs before him were just immoral. When companions (Sahaba Ridhwan Allah ajmaeen) came in the company of Muhammad (Sal Allah alaihi wasalam), their hearts and inners were refined and purified through benevolence and sympathy of Muhammad (Sal Allah alaihi wasalam) and were appointed on the high rank of civility by him  (Sal Allah alaihi wasalam).

The rustic, shepherds and those who were contemptuous for the world, their passionate love with Rasool Allah (Sal Allah alaihi wasalam) and adoption his companionship led them to be admiringly mentioned in the Holy Quran by their names.

My dear friends, this is the Holy Prophet’s (Peace and Blessing be Upon Him) nativity. The month for the true devotees to get their infatuation increased with RASOOL ALLAH Sall Allahu Elehi Walehi Wassallam. In this month honor of Rasool Allah is extolled.

But Alas! Our love appears for a month only in the whole year, perchance for a week or for a single day or sometimes it is concluded over a congregation.

Was the love of companions of Rasool Allah Sall Allahu Elehi Aalehi Wassallam and of saints of Allah comprising of only the celebration of his nativity once in a year?

No my dear friends, if we claim love with him (PBUH), then the similitude of his friends and companions is to be followed who were genuine devotees.

To them, the celebration of the Prophet’s nativity was not restricted over the month of Rabi ul Awwal. Rather, they used to celebrate the whole year as “Mailaad”. The each day would raise affection, devotion and the zealousness in their hearts to comply with holy Prophet’s Sunnah and this was evident by joining company of Rasool Allah (saw), their participation in jihad, and looking after their neighbours.

As I read in the biography of “Hazrat Imam Ahmad bin Jambal (R.A) that on inquiry three imaginable location were recommended for him to be found. . [When the people were asked about him, they used to indicate three places where he could be found.]. One of them would be a mosque the 2^nd would be at the threshold of needy ones, widows and orphans providing them aid and charity and the 3^rd would be the place of ill people being attended. This was our Imams’ exploit and his role. .[character and act.] 

Today we have given up to follow his path. Our association with those who are voluptuous, unethical and submissive to their temptation has developed same diseases in us It is a saying that: “ what ever is existed in a well the same is in a cavity. If the well contains bitter water, the out come is also bitter.” (We are influential of those to whom we follow today. Whatever they have we get part of it).

The development of bounty or vice into our hearts is dependent on the companionship we join. There are hundreds of examples that how a bad company traps a quite virtuous person and they even get imprisoned with this evil affiliation. Then the attestation of their modesty by their parents cannot relief them. Thus, it depends on the company whether it leads you towards to be respected or disrespected.

So, what I was saying that, “O, the true devotee of Rasool Allah Sall Allahu Elehi Walehi Wassallam, his love ought not to be limited to a congregation, or a week or a month, but there should be an increment in his love each day.

Perhaps this is a Hadees or saying of a saint (Allah knows better). “ Man ashtawa youmaan fahwa maghboonun” i.e. “he who spends even two days in the row with same deeds and makes no progress in his righteous conducts such as in his prayers, adoration, virtuousness and piousness is in loss”

“The property of true faithful believer is that his every following day should be greater than the previous.” (Latarkabunna tabaqan Aan Tabaqin; Surat Inshqaaq, Para 30)

Allah Subhan wa Taala endued Rasool Allah (saw) with a new grade, new status and new rank each day. Hence, his followers are also supposed to be ambitious, avid, and zealous to attain the loftiness in their piety and elevation in their love with Rasool Allah sall allahu alehi walehi wassallam as well as compliance of their action with sharia’at day by day.

The lover of this world works for the world only. His craving never becomes satisfied. There is example of our governing heads that have been granted plenty by Allah, but the attraction of world grows in their hearts. Their voracious appetite is getting increased and they seek for more. Their love for world is making this avarice growing from one billion to ten billion. This is chastisement to them by nature.

Sheikh Saadi R.A says, “When a king conquers an empire a desire to occupy another arises in his heart. Pharaoh, Qarun and Haman were preoccupied by same desire. This is an infinite longing.

However, the example of Allah’s pious saints is dissimilar to them.

“Neem naanay gar khud mard-e-khuda – bazul dar dawaishaan kund neem-e-wagar” i.e. if a pious man has a bread he shares the half with the needy one.

Sheikh Saadi explains the character of saints whose minds and souls have been purified, and those who have been bestowed with the company of Rasool Allah (saw) and they got refined etiquettes and become pious. Their example is like ‘’ haft darwesh dareek galeem bagnumbad”.

i.e. that seven mendicants may spend a night in one single tattered quilt however two emperors can not accommodate in a same kingdom due to mutual controversy.

So my dear friends, as our beloved Prophet elevated his companions’ moral made their attributes superior and purified their souls, the same kind of purification is indispensable again to be taken place today.

The motive that our Prophet (PBUH) came with, the objective he spent his life in, the conducts he carried out, his advices to his friends and how he trained them have all been disregarded by us. Our love and affections with him is pretentious as we are driven by our own desires instead of acting upon his advices.

Whilst an observation is required that encompasses the features of his character countenance, morals and manners. Over all his biography should be read to become intimate with his prophetic mission and activities in the reference of Islam.

My spiritual guide indicates a real devotee of RASOOL ALLAH SALL ALLHU ALEHI WALEHI WASSALLAM is a true lover and well-wisher for the nation as well. Ignoring prayers, lying, drinking and adultery like vices shall be unendurable for him.

The relation and fondness with Rasool Allah Sall Allahu Elehi Walehi Wassllam induces him worried to be truthful follower of him (P.B.U.H) and true lover by deeds not mere ostentation. This is the conception of a genuine love that needs to be developed in the hearts.

Here the objective is being described in which Rasool Allah Sall Allahu Elehi Walehi Wassallam lived his life.

In the journey of Taaif, Hazrat Zaid bin Haaris accompanies Rasool Allah Sall Allahu Elehi Walehi Wassallam to the tribe “Bannu Saceef.” Three or four brothers are invited towards Islam but following the contemplation, they pass insolent comments on it. In spite of, the Prophet (P.B.U.H) listens to them patiently and makes his way on completion of his duty. But the leaders of “Taaiyf” enjoin the young boys of the tribe to afflict them by stoning, and releasing dongs on the Prophet (P.B.U.H). In the compliance with this command, the boys stone at Rasool Allah Sall Allahu Elehi Walehi Wassallam and his companion. Hazrat Zaid bin Harris R.A as the real devotee puts all his effort in order to protect the beloved Prophet Sall Allahu elehi walehi wassallam against stones by covering him from front and back, from right and left.

For how long a single person physically could be a protective shield for someone. Eventually, he also gets his head injured and starts bleeding.

The holy Prophet Sall Allahu Alehi Walehi Wassallam is in infliction and the pain makes him sitting and standing repeatedly. Nevertheless, no complaint from him rather he remain in patients and leaves with tranquility while people still stoning clapping, whistling and cheering at him S.A.W. and his friend Hazrat Zaid R.A.

On the return, taking an asylum in a garden saves them from the youngsters chasing them. The boys also stopped their search on being unable to get them both.

The garden is possessed by two brothers. One of them interacts with the other about the Prophet S.A.W’s anxiety, pain and harbor in their garden like he intends to help him out or treat him with kindness. He asks his servant “Abdaas Nasraani” to serve the Prophet P.B.U.H bunches of grapes. The Prophet Mohammad was enervated due to injuries and excessive blood loss made his shawl wet.

Why all that was happening, what was his (PBUH) objective and what was its purpose?

The servant proceeds and serves him bunches of grapes. Rasool Allah Sall Allahu Elehi Walehi Wassllam casts a glance at him and accepts grapes calmly, washes them and eats them with the name of ALLAH Subhana Watala.

The companions of him (PBUH) had always been advised by him to depart in obeisance of Islam and for its exaltation.

The migration and even the forfeiture of their own lives for Islam could not provide the true content of their thrust of preaching campaign of Islam”

Ours saint said, “that there are approximately 2500 tombs in Madina and Makkah. Whilst in the age of the Prophet Rasool Allah (PBUH) the number of his friends had raised above 100,000 but out of that approximately 1025 are known.

According to our venerable saint, the other companions of him left Makkah and Madina to spread Islam. They took journey to remote areas merely to preach AQA’s (S.A.W) message and to draw people near ALLAH subhana watala.

My dear friends! Today we are in need of refining our morals, ethics to attain the high rank of humanity. By following Rasool Allah (S.A.W)’s footsteps and adopting the properties of his characteristics, we shall achieve the eminence of mankind and shall come forth with the ability to present a finest model before others.

A time will come when your acquaintances and mates will not be in need to listen to sermons or speeches. They will be virtuous automatically in a very short while as far as they are encompassed by your companionship.

However, in the respect of this strategy, a proviso of the same zealousness, ambition and devotion is indispensable in the hearts.

As per hadees, “IZAA ZARAOO ZUKIR ALLAH” means: “such people exist who are the keys of invocation to ALLAH. Subhana watala.”

Friend of him asked who are those people?  Rasool Allah Sall Allahu Elehi Walehi Wassallam replied, “The people whose faces are conducive to recall ALLAH Jalleh Shanahu.

Thus, I was saying when the people of various tribes and various nations assemble at a same place, they are worthy of glad tidings that they have discharged their duty even in the age full of evils where man has fell into flagrant mischief but who are on the right path, from ALLAH Almighty this is a news for them to be glad at.
